Miscarriage

JolienGuest ·
I'm in my 14th week, and two of my friends who were also pregnant had miscarriages—one at 12 weeks and the other at 16.5 weeks. My heart is breaking because I've already given birth to two beautiful, healthy boys and was so happy about this pregnancy, but now I'm really worried. How big is the chance that something goes wrong after a good 12-week scan?

Love, a worried and sad mom

The chance really gets smaller day by day. There's even a site where you can see what your chance of miscarriage is, in percentages. I actually found that comforting; I was extremely unsure after my miscarriage in March 2019. Of course, there are always "bad luck cases," but that's it. You never have a guarantee of a good pregnancy, not even after one. Nothing is certain. But remember that things go right more often than they go wrong. It's sad about your friends; it's no small thing. Hopefully, things will get better for them. Good luck with your pregnancy!
