Work removal due to maternity protection

Because of my job as a medical lab technician (in Belgium), I was immediately sent home as soon as I knew I was pregnant. I also have the right to 5 months of breastfeeding leave (partially paid) because breastfeeding and my job can't be combined. Since it's been 5 years since another colleague gave birth and the guidelines only changed last summer due to the occupational health doctor, I don't know anyone who's been in the same situation.

Are there any moms here who also had to stay home immediately or for a long time in advance?

Or have experience with breastfeeding leave and returning to work after 5 months, no longer being allowed to breastfeed? Even though the pregnancy is still early, I know I'd rather breastfeed for a bit longer....
