First pregnancy

Hi,
I took a positive test yesterday and am 1-2 weeks pregnant according to the test from conception. I had a blood test yesterday but the hCG level was only 100, so I'll be back for another blood test on Friday. I lost a tiny bit of blood yesterday and sometimes have cramps like during my period. I hope these aren't bad signs. It's all new to me and you never know what might happen???? So I find it quite nerve-wracking. Hopefully, you understand me. According to the doctor, the due date would be April 25, 2021, if everything goes well. Best regards

Yes, a little bit of bleeding can be normal—maybe it's implantation bleeding or just contact bleeding from, say, sex, sneezing, coughing, etc. For the simplest reason, a small amount of bleeding can occur because there's so much increased blood flow down there. As long as it stays light, it's fine. If it gets heavier, I'd have it checked out, as the risk of miscarriage does increase then. Wishing you lots of success for now, and congratulations on your first pregnancy! Just wait and see during the first 12 weeks—it's super exciting.

100 hCG before 4 weeks isn't that little at all, considering early tests can detect 10 hCG?

Thanks for your message ;-) I'll just let things unfold and see what happens. Big thanks!

Was I not here above? ;-) Maybe it's handy to use another name for a moment so you don't accidentally get confused with someone else here.

Sorry, I just wanted to reply to your message and didn't know exactly how to do it. Tomorrow I have a new blood test, so hopefully the hCG values will be better For now, no real loss, just occasional cramps like when you're about to get your period. We'll wait and see. Thanks in advance.

    No problem at all!!
How exciting, those cramps are really normal. I had them too. I think you'll get some really beautiful hCG values if I hear it right. Sounds all positive! I'm curious about tomorrow!

It's all a bit new to me. I'm looking forward to this moment too, really. And the cramps aren't constant either, just from time to time. But yeah, my body is changing a lot. Thanks in advance for the positivity. I'll let you know.

Such a stressful day when my hcg levels didn't double. Unfortunately, it's bad news, said the doctor. So I'll wait until 5 pm to call for an update. I'm quite worried ( because I sometimes have a lot of cramps, not all day long but still.

Exciting. Contractions are normal again, that's your uterus. I also had intense cramps in the first days after, and a lot of discharge. I really felt like I was going to get my period any moment, so that's totally normal. I'm rooting for you!

    Hi,
Just got some nice news from my blood test – my hCG level has already tripled since Tuesday. Now hoping everything continues to go well.

Thank you all so much! It's still a bit of a adjustment to the good news, obviously super happy, but yeah, we're still being cautious.
