It seems like he's already planning to leave? Could he have another partner?

Well, my take on this... I once had an ex who used to make these same kinds of stupid comments. Turns out he was just seeing someone else and preparing to leave. Absolutely shameless. How long have you two been together?

Aside from that, I'd never (ever again) let myself be treated so disrespectfully. You can argue about it forever and push back... but I'd kick him out for a while. That way you can also take some time to think about the future.

    Thanks, girls, for your replies!

I had to go to the ultrasound today (everything is perfect). I called him to ask something and deliberately didn't mention anything, hoping he'd ask if everything was okay with the little one, but he didn't ask anything... sigh.

Well, I was married for 8 years to a narcissist and swore that when we divorced, I'd never let myself be treated like that again. Then I met my current boyfriend (only 6 months ago), and I thought, "This is the one!"

So sweet! But ever since I got pregnant, he's changed so much. I don't think he's seeing anyone else, but he just doesn't see the future clearly and doesn't dare to tell me... that's what I think!

If he doesn't ask anything about the ultrasound tonight, it's really over!

Some men suffer from cold water phobia when they just found out they're going to be fathers. It's quite unreal for them because they don't physically feel anything. For some, it only kicks in when they hold the baby in their arms. However, it's pretty blunt that he didn't ask about the ultrasound. I assume he knows you had the appointment.
Keep in mind that pregnancy hormones can make you react a bit more intensely or emotionally. Everything feels different when you feel responsible for the little miracle in your belly.

Well, that sounds sensible at least. It's nice that you were able to talk and let the cat out of the bag. And I totally agree that it's better to get along normally outside of a relationship than to be unhappy together. Sorry if I reacted a bit harshly, but I've also been in a relationship where I felt incredibly lonely and was belittled. That was years ago, when I was still young. Now I've had a nice, equal relationship for years, and I wish that for everyone. Good luck with your baby. You'll get through it, even on your own.

    Super sweet of you :-)
You don't need to apologize at all, it's all good, I have full confidence in that The most important thing is that little wonder in my belly ??
