Blood when wiping

Hi ladies, I'm now 15 weeks pregnant with my first baby. I noticed a little bit of blood on the toilet paper when wiping. There was nothing in the toilet. It only happened that one time. Has anyone else experienced this? Did you call your midwife about it?

I had this too, but earlier in my pregnancy. Was it red or brown? And didn't you have any cramps? Brown is old blood and usually less serious.

I'd definitely call the midwife; they know the most about it !

I had this 9 years ago with our daughter. I was then 12-13 weeks pregnant. Terrible stomach pain with a lot of bleeding (soaking through maxi pads).
Called the doctor's on-call service and managed to get through after a lot of talking. Then I went there, but they couldn't help me because the ambulance was gone and the equipment was inside. Spent the whole weekend in anxiety. On Monday I went to the GP, who listened to my heart. Everything was fine, luckily. It turned out there was a small issue causing the bleeding.

So there really doesn't have to be anything serious.

I get that you're worried. If it's just a little bit, I think the chance that something's wrong is really small.

Did you happen to have sex?

It's very likely it was just a small vein. Everything is much more vascular now.
