Sudden stomach and back pain

Hi there!
I'm currently 21 weeks pregnant with our second baby. I'm already experiencing more discomfort than during my first pregnancy.
Last night, I suddenly had abdominal pain that radiated to my back. It would stop and then come back. I had it again today.
What could this be? Could it be because I'm not going to the toilet enough? I called my gynecologist, but they're still on leave. We're going in on Wednesday anyway.

Just to mention that during my first pregnancy I hardly had any issues (only a little bit of heartburn at the end).
