Internal or external?

Hi! I’m getting my first ultrasound on Thursday. I’ll be 7 weeks and 5 days pregnant. Is that still too early for an external ultrasound?
Greetings!

It depends on the GP. I still had an internal exam at that stage. My GP did internal exams until about 10 weeks. But I've also heard that some people had an external one.

It also depends on your build. I would suggest trying it externally first.

Just had my 7-week external scan...

Just had my 7-week external scan and they could see it quite nicely, but then a full bladder is the most helpful, which is quite a challenge

But does the internal scan seem unpleasant to you? Or just curious?

    Was actually just curious.
Internal seems not so pleasant, or does it turn out to be not too bad?
So with a full bladder it should work, right?

You don't feel anything internally. It'll be fine

No, indeed, internal really doesn't mean much.
Yes, with a full bladder it's easier to find externally.

Internal yeast infections don't really do much harm, but they do disrupt the balance. If you're sensitive to imbalances, I'd really try to avoid it.

I never had issues with yeast or anything like that until I had internal ultrasounds.

Sounds weird, but I'm more scared because I feel like everything is set up inside. I've only had sex once since I got pregnant and it already hurt. But well, I'll see. Maybe it won't be so bad after all.
