11 weeks, cramps and pink discharge

Hi everyone,
I'm the lucky one to be 11 weeks pregnant, we had a good ultrasound at 8 weeks and yesterday the second good ultrasound, both with a beating heart and yesterday we saw the baby completely moving and stretching. It looked good, but I've already had 3 days of stabbing pain on the right side of my belly and unfortunately I've had pink mucus discharge since this morning, it's quite a lot of pink discharge and I have menstrual cramps. I'm of course worried, yesterday everything looked so beautiful, what could this be? Is something wrong or are there people who have had this and it turned out okay in the end? If it's still like this tomorrow I'll call the midwife because he just did an ultrasound and everything looked so beautiful I'll wait and see.

Anna, that's great, a nice ultrasound, but it's tough with all the uncertainty now. Was the ultrasound internal? Maybe that could be the cause? And you can always lose some blood because everything is more blood-flowed down there. As long as it's not bright red and a lot, it's no problem. But if you're feeling unsure, just call your midwife tomorrow!

    Hi Mila,

Thanks for your reply. No, the ultrasound from yesterday was done through the abdomen. I haven't done anything else either; it's really pink with white mucus, no bright red blood yet.

That's so nice that you had a beautiful ultrasound!
It can indeed be part of it. As long as it's not bright red and the pain is manageable, it's probably nothing. How much pain are you experiencing? Just mild menstrual cramps? That might be the stretching of the uterus. I also have a bit more of that in the last week.

The beautiful ultrasound was so recent. I've never had a miscarriage, but I think it would take longer than 1 day after the heartbeat stops before anything begins. I hope it's nothing!
