    Learned at prenatal yoga:
When you inhale, push! It goes completely against your instincts.
It doesn't work right away, but keep doing it and eventually it will.
    Good luck!

Eat lots of fiber, Brinta, and fruit. Roosvicee Laxo can also work well, but if you're pregnant, I'd recommend checking with your doctor first

Ratna/Ratan means jewel (diamond). Bharat Ratna = jewel of India. This name originates from Buddhism.

    So relatable! ;-)
I benefit from having 2 extra pieces of fruit per day, rye bread, and drinking more water.

I just bought flaxseed from Zonnatura (available at the supermarket) and Roosvice Laxo. :-D You can also get magnesium tablets, available at the pharmacy.
If that doesn't work, go to your doctor and mention that you're suffering from constipation. O-)

My (pregnant) girlfriend's doctor said she can just use Dulcolax. She knows it works really well, but I don't know if all doctors approve of it?

I sometimes use a Microlax tube as well. You can just buy these at the pharmacy, and they can be used during pregnancy. It helps get the hard stool out first. After that, you can start using remedies like flaxseed. Good luck!

Hi Karlijn, constipation is really unpleasant. I had it even before my pregnancy. Really try to drink 1.5 liters of water a day, and not too much coffee. I drank fennel tea (from Zonnatura, it's good for the intestines). At first I didn't like it, but you get used to it. My doctor gave me a powder that you have to take with fruit juice/yogurt. It's called Volcolon. When I got pregnant, I immediately asked if I could continue using it. He said it's natural fibers and that you actually get more constipation when you're pregnant. So I still take a glass of this powder every morning before I eat anything. And it really helps. I'd ask your doctor about "Volcolon".

And of course silver thread rice, whole grain pasta, whole grain bread, etc. Yogurt with nuts in the morning or as lunch. That helps too. No bananas, for example, that's really a culprit!

For me, eating ground flaxseeds (e.g., mixed into your yogurt) along with flaxseed oil (two tablespoons a day) really helped. It also helps to take a tablespoon of olive oil—it’s not exactly tasty, but it works really well. Otherwise, make sure you’re getting enough fiber and drinking plenty of water. Good luck!!!

For me, it helps to eat lots of fruit and veggies, and drink plenty of water.
Some days it goes a bit better than others, so good luck with it!

The right posture can often work wonders: squatting!

For me, the first thing that helped, as mentioned above, was changing my posture, so leaning a bit more forward.

A lot of people don't like it, but since I started eating Marmite on my bread, I haven't had any issues.
