7 weeks and 2 days pregnant and pink mucus discharge

We're the lucky ones to be 7 weeks pregnant. After a rough week of nausea, I suddenly noticed pink mucus discharge this morning after peeing. I was really startled and called our doctor, who said we should wait and get an ultrasound on Friday. I wasn't exactly reassured.
Has anyone else experienced this and had a good outcome?
It was just a little bit, but definitely visible pink mucus.
Also, today I suddenly felt much less nauseous, and now I have some pretty strong cramping in my lower abdomen, feeling like period cramps, but no more pink mucus discharge.
Can anyone put my mind at ease about this?

Hi,
I’ve been pregnant for about as long as you are now, and I’ve had exactly what you’re describing. I also had a little bit of bleeding around 7 weeks during my pregnancy with my son. But it turned out to be nothing! The whole pregnancy went perfectly.
