Severe stomach pain

Hi everyone,

I’m 6 weeks and 2 days pregnant today, after 8 months of trying. Of course we’re very happy, but I find it really nerve-wracking, which makes it hard for me to enjoy it sometimes.

I started with an hCG level of 138, which my doctor thought was a bit low, so they took another blood test. By week 5, it had risen nicely to 3024.

But now, a week later, I’m feeling insecure again. I’ve been having severe abdominal cramps, similar to the worst period pain that radiates into my back, especially towards the right side. After about 10 minutes, the pain subsides. This happens 1-2 times a day. I’ve even woken up from it in the middle of the night once.

Does anyone have experience with this? Is this normal? My first ultrasound isn’t for another two weeks, and until then, my mind is full of worries. Besides abdominal pain and fatigue, I also have very few symptoms. I had sore breasts until yesterday, but that comes and goes...

I’ll call my GP on Monday just to be safe, but I’m hoping to get some info from you all.
