So happy about the pregnancy, but sometimes I feel unhappy.

Hi everyone,

I'm 10 weeks pregnant now, and even though it wasn't planned, we're absolutely thrilled and so happy about it.

That said, there are days when I feel incredibly unhappy, and I wonder if that's normal (due to hormones) and if anyone else relates?

Some days I feel down. I cry a lot, everything irritates me, and I feel insecure because my body is starting to change. I'm also dealing with a lot of breakouts and greasy hair, so on those days I feel insecure about my appearance too.

It's never that I'm not happy with the baby—I definitely am. It's just that sometimes I just feel really "unhappy." I'm also so incredibly tired that I sometimes get teary and just don't feel good.

Does this sound familiar to anyone?

That’s just the hormones. With a little luck, it’ll get better soon as you get further along in your pregnancy. Most people start feeling a bit better after the first 3 months.

First of all, congratulations on your pregnancy.
Very relatable. Unfortunately, it’s part of the deal. And as Anonymous already said, things get better after the first 3 months.
There were days when I just got tired of myself. Couldn’t do anything right. Crying over nothing. (Still have those days now and then too.)
Damn hormones!! Hang in there, you’ll definitely feel better soon. Fatigue will also really decrease. Our bodies are working so hard for our little one!

Yes, so relatable! I'm really getting tired of myself too.
I sometimes catch myself being angry and unreasonable about things I wouldn't normally get upset about. On the contrary, actually.
    ????????
    Hopefully it'll get better soon!
