Belly

Hi, I'm 17 weeks and 4 days pregnant with my first baby. I see lots of photos of women who already have a clearly visible bump, and I don't really seem to have one yet. I'd appreciate some advice, as I'm getting a bit worried. I've heard that it's normal for first pregnancies because your muscles haven't been stretched yet? Can someone help me? I'm so worried about whether this is normal or not.

No worries at all! There are many women who don't show much for months. Even towards the end, there can be big differences; some look only a few months pregnant at birth, while others seem fully 9 months along halfway through. It really depends on your body

Don't worry about it. With my first baby, you could only see a belly after 17 weeks. I could keep it hidden at work for a long time. During the first pregnancy, everything is still tight, and especially if you're slim, it doesn't really stand out. If you lie on your back and gently feel your belly, you'll probably feel your uterus. It feels somewhat round and firm. If you're feeling restless or unsure, you can always call your midwife.
Now I'm 14 weeks and 4 days pregnant, and my belly is already visible????

No worries! Soon you'll have a cute little bump, every body is different. I'm curious to see how your bump looks now though?

With my first, you couldn't see anything until 20 weeks. Now I'm 12 weeks pregnant with my third, and I already look 20 weeks along with my first. Your uterus has never been stretched out before, so this is normal somewhere. With me, it's the third time now, and that uterus had stayed enlarged after the first birth, so yeah, I show further. But at the end, I was equally big each time, okay

Totally normal. With me, you could only see a little bump at 22-23 weeks. Now at 37 weeks, I have a really nice belly.

I kept getting comments during my first pregnancy that my belly wasn’t big yet.
I personally noticed a clear difference from 20 weeks onward.
    Nothing to worry about!

I keep weekly photos to follow the growth. From top to bottom: 8w, 11w, 14w, and 17w (the present).
