NUB theory

Hi hi,
I’m just curious about experiences with the NUB theory. I know it’s not completely reliable, but I’m just curious
We now have a little boy of 1.5 years, and I’m currently 11+4 weeks pregnant with our second child. Today we had the dating scan, and I asked if she could see anything using the NUB theory. She said it was flat now, which would suggest a girl. But she also immediately added that it can still change (often until 12 weeks) or that sometimes it’s just not accurate.
Now I’m curious about experiences around this stage and whether it turned out to be correct for you?
I’ll try to add an ultrasound photo if possible

    I think it's a girl.. I could tell right away with my son too, using the Nub theory on the 12-week ultrasound..

    I have 2 daughters and both times I had an ultrasound at 11 weeks and had a nub just like you did.

    11 weeks is still too early. You can only find out from 12 weeks, and preferably at 13 weeks. At this stage, they're all still girls.

    For this pregnancy, the nub was flat, so a girl. But at 16 and 20 weeks ultrasound, it really looked like a boy! (Assuming it’s a boy at birth too)
    For my niece, it was really pointing up and she’s having a girl haha.
    So I don’t really believe in the nub

    Anne. I've never heard of the nub pointing up and it turning out to be a girl after all. But I have heard the opposite, that the nub was flat and it turned out to be a boy. This can still happen up to 12 weeks.
    But I don't believe the nub was pointing up and it was a girl. Most likely, it wasn't the nub but something else that was pointing up.

    Ahh thanks for your replies! I couldn’t see it well on my son’s ultrasound, but he was already 10 weeks old. But I’m really curious. Let me know here in about 3 weeks
