A few days of light bleeding

Hi there. I should be about 5 to 6 weeks pregnant now. I’ve taken two tests and they were both positive, and I also did a blood test with my GP, who confirmed I’m pregnant. Lately, for a few days now, I’ve had some light pink spotting, but it’s only occasional, once a day. Should I be worried? My first ultrasound is scheduled for July 22.

    I don't have any experience with this myself.
    Can't you call to see if you can get help sooner regarding the bleeding. You can always try.

    Hi Selleke, light pink bleeding can happen during pregnancy. Your pelvis gets more blood flow during pregnancy, which can cause the cervix to bleed a little. That's completely harmless.
    But it could also be a sign of miscarriage.
    If you want to know whether your cervix is bleeding, it's best to make an appointment with your GP. They can use a speculum to check if your cervix is properly closed and whether it's bleeding.
