Dr. Brown's baby bottles

Hey ladies,
I want to buy Dr Brown’s bottles but I’m really torn between the Dr Brown’s gift set (includes 5 bottles) and the Dr Brown’s starter pack (includes 3 bottles).
Which one do you recommend?

    Hi Happymom,
I also use the Dr. Brown's bottle for my 9-month-old daughter.
Super happy with it, I now have the 2nd one in use. The first one was a bit small. So I think you'll be fine with 3 bottles.
I did switch to the Difrax bottle for the evening feed though.
    Love, Starz

I’d just buy one bottle and not a whole starter set. Sometimes babies don’t take to a particular bottle, and then you’re stuck with a whole set. I had this with my youngest son.
I was very happy with the bottles for my oldest, but my youngest couldn’t drink well from them—he wanted a flatter teat, similar to the nipple (since I was breastfeeding).
In the end, I managed to sell the starter set to someone who was happy with it, but if you can’t do that, it’s a waste of money.

The brown bottles are nice, but I mainly used Difrax because I was going crazy cleaning the inner parts and grandma (don't ask me how) never got it right. Some babies love a wide nipple, some prefer a flat one, and others the regular shape. My daughter spilled more than half with the wide one, but the narrow one worked well. Those bottles are still tricky... For my baby due in October, I want to get a small Difrax bottle and a Dr. Brown's. And different nipple sizes. My daughter is still using the smallest size (she was born at 41 weeks), so I had to use a premature-sized nipple for the first few months.

To make it even more fun, use the Dr. Brown's premature teat on the Difrax bottle Funny thing is, for example, size S teat doesn't match Dr. Brown's size 1. I think the Difrax teats had bigger holes anyway. It was quite a search and I had to make it a whole hobby to make sure she drank well. I also gave breastfeeding until 4 months. Due to reflux, we had to thicken it in the end and still had to buy bigger teats. The Avent bottle brush was great by the way! But I wouldn't buy a whole set myself, just see how your little one reacts Same fuss with the "pacifier," one she didn't want while another worked well and she had the sucking need. Was also a bit of a search (and had planned beforehand not to give a pacifier ) Good luck and have lots of fun with your little one soon.
