Uncertain..

Hi everyone,
I'm a bit unsure. I had an appointment with the gynecologist this morning, and she said, "Oh, shall we take a quick look?" I thought I was 6 weeks pregnant, but the gynecologist said about 5 and a half weeks. But wouldn't the gestational sac be really small at 1.3mm for this stage? I'm getting worried now.

Don't feel insecure about it. It's really hard to measure accurately, and a 1mm difference can mean several days. That's why the dating scan is only done between 10-12 weeks.

We'll adjust those days if the little one turns out to be a bit bigger and it's easier to measure the ends.

I just looked back and it was 6 mm at 6 weeks and 6 days, so more than a week later! But if the gynecologist didn't say anything about it, it'll probably be fine, right? And yeah, a measurement early on is really tricky with those mm; if they place the point a bit further, it's 2 mm different again.

    Good luck!
