As long as it's not accompanied by cramps, I wouldn't worry too much. I've read several comments from women with brownish discharge who ended up having a beautiful pregnancy. Maybe you're overthinking it and a small blood vessel burst?

    And otherwise, just call the midwife. They can give you better advice, and maybe you could get an ultrasound over the weekend. Good luck!

    I also had brown discharge for about a week/1.5 weeks around 6/7 weeks. This is old blood and nothing to worry about. It just makes you feel unsure, I did too! I'm now almost 35 weeks pregnant..

    Thanks for the supportive words, Joyce and Bloempje. I did call our midwife about our first baby in the afternoon, and she also said to stay calm and rest a lot. Although that doesn’t really fit with my job in the coming months. But yeah, we just have to get through it. It’s still early and not much can be done.

    Even though you're working, I'd still take your pregnancy into account now. You're carrying two, after all. I hope you're really enjoying your pregnancy—it's a little miracle and beautiful!
