False positive test

Hi everyone,

On 28-12-2018 we became parents of a beautiful daughter.
I just did a Kruidvat test (2voor5), and I see a faint line. Can that give a false positive? I've attached the photo.

Congratulations on the birth of your daughter! Was this photo taken within the reading time? I've never had a false test with this test..

Are you trying for a second one?

I’ve never had a false positive with these tests either... if I wasn’t pregnant, the test was truly blank. And if I was pregnant, there was a second line!

I’ve never had a false positive with those tests either.
    Congratulations, Sweet Was it planned??

I had a very faint positive line with this test a few months ago, and two days later I got my period but I did have severe cramps at the time.
I think they're very sensitive, so I'll test again the day after tomorrow just to be sure

Then you probably had an early miscarriage, Riri. Especially because you say you had severe cramps.

Why did you take a test? Did you have symptoms/signals?

We weren't really planning for it, just had one careless moment, and now tomorrow is my due date. But my husband had a hunch because I've been super tired again and having nightmares, so he brought these tests along.
Thanks, Bloempje yes, it was within the time frame, within 1 minute I saw a line.
It wasn't planned, but definitely desired. We didn't want too long a gap between the kids, but well, a 1-year difference wasn't exactly the plan either.

    What a miracle.. Congratulations girl!

Congratulations. (And take a moment to recover from the shock now then )

    Pregnant!

    It is indeed a wonder
Did another test this morning and had to really recover from the shock, I dropped my coffee powder from fright

Congratulations, and good luck too! I hope you've already recovered quite well from your previous pregnancy. Two close together takes a lot out of your body, so take good care of yourself.
Most important: just keep breathing, and it'll all be okay!

Congratulations! It probably caught you off guard, but luckily you already had plans for a second child. My twins (no. 2 and 3) had just turned one when I unexpectedly got pregnant with no. 4. That was quite a shock too, but once you get over it, everything works out fine. Enjoy it!

Thanks anon, I've recovered happily from the birth. I'm one of the lucky ones who came out "without perineal tears." It's just that it wasn't allowed in the hospital; otherwise, I would have gone for a walk down the corridor that same evening to stretch my legs. That wasn't allowed until 2 days later.
Sharon, yes, I'm still in shock and can't believe it. One moment of carelessness, and I went to shower right away, thinking I'd washed everything out. The plans were definitely there. We had in mind to go for the second one in August
Super nice, 4 kids. I'd also like a big family

Just wanted to let you know that on 30-05 I got the news from the ultrasound that it’s going to be my third miscarriage It didn’t grow further than 6 weeks and 2 days and there was no heartbeat.
Even though it was very unexpected, I’m heartbroken
  16. Puck #17

Oh sweet, that's so incredibly sad! Even though it was unexpected, once you're pregnant, you're sold, right? Sending you lots of strength

Puck, that's definitely true You're so happy and excited about the little one. My body played tricks on me; the pregnancy felt really good until one day before the ultrasound. I also bled quite a bit on Friday and Saturday, so I hope my uterus is clean next Thursday, and then I'll ask my questions. I'm afraid something might be wrong with me after all.
  18. Puck #19

Did you end up bleeding on your own? And what was going on the day before the ultrasound?
I can imagine this makes you feel really unsure. It's so tough that you first get such a surprise and then such a disappointment. Are you going to ask if they're going to do further tests?
Fortunately, you now have a beautiful daughter. Try to enjoy her twice as much and be kind to yourself!

Wednesday evening I suddenly had some bleeding, thought it was a burst blood vessel at first, but my gut told me something else. And the ultrasound confirmed that. Friday I had real cramps and a lot of blood, now still some bleeding but no more cramps. So I hope everything is cleared out.
After the second miscarriage, the chromosomal test was already done. It was fine. But blood clotting hasn't been checked yet. We do have a beautiful daughter and enjoy her more and more every day
But she also had bleeding until 15 weeks, and something tells me it's coming from somewhere after all.
