Pregnant again

16 replies

Tamara
Hi!

After my first IUI attempt was successful but ended in a miscarriage in August, I can happily share that I’m pregnant again right after that (2nd IUI attempt)!

On one hand, I’m obviously very happy about this, but on the other hand, I’m really scared because there’s this fear that it might go wrong again.

I find myself being super attentive to what I feel and where I have discomfort. Of course, I feel nothing today, so I immediately start worrying whether everything is okay.

I wish I could turn my brain off sometimes, so I can just enjoy instead of worrying all the time.

xx

    @tamara,

    yes girl, it's not easy to get it out of your head.
    I also had a miscarriage at the beginning of this year and got pregnant right away, but it still took a while before I could enjoy this pregnancy.
    but if you worry all the time, you'll go crazy.
    try to enjoy it anyway, girl, even if it's hard

    take care and you can share everything here

    love, tammi

    Hi Tamara,
    First of all, congratulations! And I totally get your uncertainty, but somewhere you have to try to draw on Daan's strength to push through a bit, and believe me, I know how hard it is, but stressing doesn't make it any easier or better for you!

    Stretch and keep us posted!

    Hi Tammi,

    That's so nice to hear that things are going well for you!
    And I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who has that, hehe.
    Did you also have days at the beginning when you suddenly felt nothing anymore (not peeing as often etc.)?

    xx

    It’s part of the deal, mom, I know from experience! Really letting go, at least trying to, no matter how hard it is, is the best remedy.

    Thanks Kim,

    I'm doing my best not to think about it too much, but my head has its own will, I guess, hehe.

    @kim
    Did you also have that at the beginning of your pregnancy where some days you didn't feel anything?
    If I knew that it was normal, it would already be a bit reassuring for me.

    Oh yes! Some days you'd forget you're pregnant because I had no trouble with it at all.

    Oh, thank goodness! That already saves some stress!

    @tamara,
    yes, I had those days too, and I think it's because your mind is still with that other one. You're wondering if it'll go wrong again and stuff.
    You're still carrying sadness and pain, and asking why.?

    But if there's something, talk about it and try to enjoy yourself, girl.
    It's a new beginning, and symptoms come and go; some people don't have any issues at all.

    If something's wrong, we're here for you. You can share everything here—I've been through it too.
    On this site, we all support each other

    Love,
    Tammi

    Hi Tamara!
    First of all, congratulations!!
    Please don't forget that you're allowed to be happy despite what happened before (My sincere condolences for that,!!!)

    I hardly had any complaints myself!! By the time I was sure I was pregnant (at 5 weeks), they were gone!!
    (Nauseous for the first few days and a bit of heartburn, that's it)

    I hope you get past the 12 weeks soon, maybe then you'll be able to enjoy it much more consciously!
    You're still allowed to give in to your grief and longing, but your little one you lost is getting a brother or sister, a reason to be happy, you're allowed to enjoy that!!
    Love, Olivia

    Hi Tamara,
    Congratulations on your pregnancy!

    I only started experiencing all sorts of ailments when I was 8 or 9 weeks pregnant. And then I really couldn't ignore it anymore, so it might still come if I'm not mistaken .

    Enjoy it!!!!!

    Love, Nynke

    Hi Tamara,

    Congratulations on your pregnancy!
    I hope you enjoy it.
    I haven't had many issues so far, they're just starting to hit hard now.

    Kind regards, Dani
