Lice test

At 10.5 weeks, the sonographer found that our baby has a very thick nuchal translucency. The heart and nasal bone looked good. We had a chorionic villus sampling done and now we're waiting... it's exhausting... Any other people with this experience?

I don't know where you're from. But here in Belgium, they only check the nuchal fold from 12 weeks onwards... you're probably from NL since the NIPT test is done here in Belgium.
Anyway, it was the same with my sister (8 years ago). A massively thickened nuchal fold, and together with the blood test (regular blood test, no NIPT, which didn't exist back then), she had a high chance of having a baby with Down syndrome. The chorionic villus sampling turned out negative though. She's now an 8-year-old healthy boy
Wishing you all the best... and congratulations on your pregnancy.
Let me know what happens? I think my sister had to wait a week. She also found out the gender right away

    Hi Stef,
Thanks for your message. This story gives hope. I’ve already been to Radboud and the first result of the amniocentesis was good. Now we’re waiting for the extended chromosome test and the 20-week ultrasound. It’s still quite nerve-wracking.
