I just can't get my period.

Hi there! I'm 23 and stopped the pill in October. We're hoping to try for a first baby. My problem is that I had a withdrawal bleed shortly after stopping, but nothing since then. Today marks day 104 of my cycle. I've already seen my GP, who took blood tests. The results show I have high testosterone levels. I have an appointment with a gynecologist this Friday, and they should help me further. I'm extremely nervous and don't know what to expect. Are there any others in a similar situation?

Not anymore, but it used to be.
I also didn't get my period after stopping the pill, and it turned out I had PCOS after being referred to a gynecologist. So I could only get pregnant with certain medication.

A high testosterone level is one of the symptoms of PCOS. They'll do an internal ultrasound at the gynecologist's to see if it's visible in the ovaries.

    Good luck!

Thank you for your response. May I ask how long it took for you to become pregnant?

It took a total of 19 months before we finally found the right medication and dosage that worked for me. Baby 2 and 3 (who I'm pregnant with now) were quicker to conceive because we already knew what worked.

Fortunately, I had my age on my side (21), and my partner's sperm quality was exceptionally good. That made a big difference in the chances!

It won't be because of my age; I'm almost 23 myself, so still young. Hopefully, I'll know more on Friday. Thanks for the response. It feels good to hear others' stories.
