What kind of work do you do?

Hi everyone,

What do you all do for work, and how do you balance it with your kids? Currently, I own a restaurant where I work as the head chef. I have a daughter who is now 1.5 years old, and I’d love to have a second one. It takes a lot of time and attention. I worked right up until the end of my pregnancy. It was exhausting. I want to do things differently with a second child. I’ve been wanting to sell the business for a while now and make a career switch. Not just any job, but I really want to get into funeral care, and I’m especially interested in post-mortem care Does anyone have experience with this? How does it all work?

I’d love to hear from you!

I'm following along. Currently working in disability care with an elderly target group. I've had the opportunity to provide a lot of palliative care. But with the high workload, I want to move away from that care. The funeral industry also interests me.

@arolina I just moved this topic to the 'babbling' section too, since it's a bit more active, so hopefully we'll get more responses there

    Hi,
I'm a second-year nursing student. I couldn't continue my internship, which is really a shame. At least I can keep doing the theory part.
I'd really like to find a job to keep myself busy during the holidays and internship periods, but it's not easy.
    Lots of love, Wondertje.

I'm a nurse at a residential care center. I'd like to further my education in the future, but I'm torn between wound care and palliative care. I find both super interesting.
