Hi everyone,

I've been on the pill for 2 years and then stopped. I got my period directly on July 1st (but it was very light). My hormone balance might be messed up because of this.

Now, on August 29th, I've had stomach cramps and sore breasts for 2 weeks (I thought it was constipation). So I went to the doctor. She did a test and I turned out to be pregnant. I was referred to a gynecologist for an ultrasound, and she saw a gestational sac, so I am definitely pregnant.

Now comes the problem: since my last period was on July 1st and we should base things on that date, the baby hasn't grown and this would mean a miscarriage.

It could also be that because I was on the pill and my hormones went haywire, I didn't get my period after July 1st, but it should have been around July 30th. Then I might have been fertile for a few days and got pregnant after I should have gotten my period, but didn't.

Because it's either a miscarriage or a very early pregnancy, no heartbeat can be seen yet, and I have to wait 2 weeks for a new ultrasound.

I'm stressing out a lot and fear I won't be able to wait two weeks in uncertainty.

Has anyone else experienced this? And is it more likely that everything will be okay than not, since I still have "symptoms"?

July 1st was my first day of my menstrual cycle, but on August 2nd and 3rd I took two pregnancy tests, and they were negative.
Is it likely that I became pregnant after that?

Hard to say. It could be that you tested too early and didn't have enough hormones in your body yet, or it could be that your ovulation was indeed later than what they think based on your cycle, and you weren't pregnant yet at that time. You can't do anything but wait until the next ultrasound. I hope you're just too early pregnant.
