1st trimester
Low hcg levels and growth is lagging behind
Ji ji Guest ·
Hi ladies,
I'd like to share my story with you all and hope that someone here has had a similar experience. On June 26th, I had a blood test and my hCG level was 1166, which was considered good at the time, suggesting I was about 5 weeks pregnant. However, the ultrasound showed very little. On July 17th, I had another blood test and my hCG was 2394. According to my gynecologist, this should have been much higher. The ultrasound again showed very little. I was told that it would likely be a miscarriage. I was advised to wait a week to see if it would pass on its own, or go back to the hospital for medication if it didn't. I didn't want to wait any longer and decided to go to the hospital after 2 days to have it removed, feeling very sad because it seemed like a miscarriage. But then I had another ultrasound and it turned out the baby had grown!!! The gynecologist found this doubtful and advised me to wait another week so that I could have another blood test and ultrasound. You can understand the uncertainty, sadness, and yet the hope I'm feeling now. Has anyone here had a similar experience? I'm so tense and going crazy from the waiting. I don't have any heavy bleeding or severe pain, just some occasional mild cramps.
I hope someone has gone through something similar and I'm curious to know how it ended.
Thank you very much in advance!
