Scared of being pregnant again

MMN
As the title says, I'm afraid I'm pregnant again.
I gave birth to my son on June 19th. I got pregnant despite using the pill correctly.
Last week I had sex for the first time again (4 weeks after giving birth, I hadn't bled anymore after a week). It was with a condom, but it tore. I considered taking the morning-after pill, but apparently, that's not good because of the hormones still in my body.
Now I'm really scared of being pregnant again.
How big would the chance be? Are there any women here with experience?

Love, MMN

It depends on a lot of things, but there is a chance you could be pregnant. The question is whether you've already ovulated again. And you can only know that if you've had a normal period after the postpartum bleeding. Or if you had used ovulation tests, which you probably didn't do since you didn't want to get pregnant, especially with the use of a condom. Most people only use those tests when they want to get pregnant. Are you breastfeeding? It's not contraception, but the chance of pregnancy is generally much lower. That's because the hormones you produce usually prevent ovulation. Keep in mind this isn't always the case; there are plenty of women who still get their periods and are fertile again despite breastfeeding. I'd suggest talking to your GP if I were you.

I haven't had my period yet and I indeed haven't used any ovulation tests either.
I'm not breastfeeding but doing bottle feeding instead. I'll call my GP tomorrow. Thanks for your reply.
