Hey Arlin,
It doesn't have to mean anything. I also have bleeding regularly, so I understand your worries. I'll type out my story.
On the day of the scan I had dark brown discharge, first thought I was getting my period but it didn't continue. At 5+3 again dark brown discharge. At 7 weeks red bleeding, at 9 weeks and at 11 weeks red bleeding, at 13 weeks super much bright red (turned out to be a bladder infection), at 14 weeks (still bladder infection) and last Tuesday again some red/pink discharge. I've already had 2 different courses for the bladder infection, there were still inflammation markers in my urine and now it's on culture. I also went to the gynecologist for an exam last Wednesday. He thought he saw a wound on the cervix, and my placenta is very low. It doesn't come from the baby so I have to try to enjoy it now. But the scare is always there. I've had 2 miscarriages before, if I have bleeding I'm always welcome to come by. The only thing I find weird is that the bleeding often happens when I haven't done anything. A couple of weeks ago I was really cold and coughed my lungs out, then I expected it, then I saw blood.
Fortunately you have an ultrasound on Tuesday, it remains exciting and hopefully it's something "small" for you too. -

Thanks for your reply, sweet.
After your story, I feel a lot more relieved now, haha. I think I should also look into it—maybe I have a bladder infection too. I don’t feel anything right now, but yeah, that doesn’t necessarily mean anything.
I’m glad you can enjoy your pregnancy now! Wishing you lots of success. -

I get bladder infections about 7 times a year and always feel really awful about it, so I didn’t notice anything at first. Then there was so much blood. I knew it could feel different when you’re pregnant, but I definitely didn’t expect this. So it’s totally possible you don’t even notice! And it doesn’t hurt to get it checked out. Wishing you lots of luck too! Keep me posted if you’d like
I’m indeed trying to enjoy it now. And I have check-ups every two weeks, which I also find really nice. -

Thanks for your advice, sweet. Isn't a bladder infection quite serious during pregnancy? I'll definitely keep you updated xx -

That's a good question, Arlin. I know you can get a kidney infection if you don't get it treated in time, but that can happen even if you're not pregnant. And in the third trimester, it can trigger contractions.
But I think it's not dangerous for the little one, but if you suspect it, just get it tested. Antibiotics are less bad than the infection, my midwife told me when I got the second course in a row.
Also, you can't take all antibiotics. They usually give amoxicillin, and apparently I'm resistant to that (it came out of a culture last January, a bit of a shame about the mistake haha). I had to have my midwife put it in a culture so they could immediately give the right antibiotics that you're allowed to take. It wasn't in yet yesterday so I'm curious -

Yes, indeed, if you don't get it treated quickly, it's serious anyway. Go get an ultrasound soon, haha.
I haven't noticed any more bleeding. I hope everything is okay there.
I also had two miscarriages at first, just like you. My third pregnancy went well, luckily. I have a precious daughter. I hope you'll get to enjoy a beautiful, healthy baby too, sweet. -

Just get it tested tomorrow, then you'll know for sure
I hope so too. Everything seems to be going well now, but sometimes with bleeding, the insecurity kicks in again.
But if the gynecologist says you can trust it and try to enjoy it, then that's what we'll do haha
How old is your daughter? -

I’ve tested and indeed have a bit of a bladder infection, but not too severe, luckily!
Hopefully, the loss isn’t more blood; I’d stress out about that, haha.
My daughter is now 1 year and almost 3 months old. ? -

Oh did you do a home test?
Drink lots of water, and maybe some extra vitamin C. I used to take cranberry tablets before I was pregnant, but you’re not allowed to take them now.
That’s lovely! We’re having a girl too

ahhh how nice, personally I think girls are nicer. a few more months to go and then you can finally hold them in your arms

My boyfriend really wanted a girl, but I'm happy with either. But all my friends who already have kids or are pregnant now have or are having girls. Very coincidental
Another check-up tomorrow. And nice counting down until December, haha.
No more bleeding? -

So coincidental, all girls. It's nice, they can be friends later haha.
So far, no bleeding, luckily. I had my ultrasound today. Everything is going perfectly well, the little heart is beating and there are no internal bleeds or anything like that.
Those bleeds were actually from my bladder infection..
According to the ultrasound, I'm 6 weeks and 3 days pregnant.
So exciting

Oh, what wonderful news! It’s definitely still exciting. I think I feel that even more now. I guess the calm will come after the 20-week scan or when I start feeling her
Our check-up went well too, luckily!
When are you allowed to again? -
arlin started this #15
yes indeed!! I already felt my little girl at about 18 weeks, but she didn't move much. It's such a nice feeling when you feel her moving. It could start any moment for you too, enjoy it
I'm allowed to come by again on August 19th. I can't wait.
When are you allowed to come by again? xx -
sweet #16
I hope so, but they already said it might take longer because the placenta is at the front. On the ultrasound, she’s never still—crazy that you can’t feel her yet. But I can’t wait
I’m due for a check-up on July 26th, and finally the 20-week ultrasound on August 16th, haha. I have to admit, I’m a bit nervous about it.
You enjoy yourself too now, after such a beautiful ultrasound

That'll come naturally too. She'll move around a lot in your belly sometimes, so much that it even startles you.
My daughter didn't move much, but sometimes she'd kick really hard and I'd get scared haha.
I can now really enjoy myself since I'm no longer losing blood.
Let me know how you're doing, sweet xx -

Haha, my grandma said that too, haha. I'm being patient, but I hope the day comes soon when I can feel her. We're going on vacation for two weeks at the end of August, so it would be really nice if I could feel her by then. But I'll be 22 weeks then, so I assume I'll feel her
How are you doing now? Hopefully no more bleeding? -

I have some bad news unfortunately. The baby stopped growing and I had a miscarriage. That's why I was absent. I've been so sad but there's nothing I can do about it anymore.
I'm happy for you, sweet, that you're going on vacation and trying to enjoy yourself!

Oh, that's really tough for you
You can't really do anything about it, but it still hurts.
I hope you're feeling a bit better now.
