Pregnant and no health insurance

Hi,

I moved abroad 5 years ago. I deregistered from the municipality and canceled everything properly.

A few weeks ago, I booked a (vacation) ticket for 5 months to the Netherlands, and now I find out I'm 3 months pregnant. I'm flying at 6 months and have decided to give birth in the Netherlands. I'd like to know what the extra medical costs will be if I only get insured at 6 months pregnant.

Can you get insured in the Netherlands if you're not registered?
If that's possible, it doesn't matter when you get insured; you'll have the same coverage as everyone else.

Here's an example of an insurance:

    https://www.vgz.nl/vergoedingen/verloskundige-zorg-bevalling

You can also get supplementary insurance, which also covers (part of) the personal contribution for the hospital and maternity care.
At the bottom, it also says what you do have to pay yourself (what falls under the deductible and what doesn't).

Yes, I can sign up. Thanks for the info!

That's good to know at least! Otherwise, you'd have to pay for it yourself. Good luck

Then I think you should insure yourself from the date you register somewhere. In the Netherlands, you're required to have insurance.
