very weird bleeding

Hey ladies.
I'm now 6 weeks pregnant and unfortunately, I had a very light bleed today. It was brown at first, then turned a bit pink. I had some lower back pain and nothing more.
I have to be honest, it was really minimal. Of course, I was quite startled—what does this mean?? Has anyone experienced this? Please help!!

I'd guess implantation bleeding. As long as it stays very light, there's no need to worry.

    Hey Jolanda,
    thanks for your reply.
I haven't seen any blood anymore, so now it's a wait-and-see thing. In a week, I can have an ultrasound.

Implantation bleeding can't be it, she's already 6 weeks pregnant.
But normally it's nothing serious. I had that with my first child around that time too, but for a whole day. It could just be a blood vessel that got irritated, but it shouldn't be harmful????

    Happy girl,

Hopefully it's nothing like you said.

You can always call your midwife if you don't feel right, or if you haven't been to your appointment yet. I don't think it's a big deal, especially if it was just a little bit. A lot of things happen in your body, and it could just be a small blood vessel that got irritated. Good luck with your pregnancy!

I also had bleeding. Implantation bleeding and 2x spotting (so a burst blood vessel). If you feel unsure, you can always call your doctor.

    Orchidea and Lies,

If I see blood again, I'll definitely call the midwife. My first two pregnancies ended in miscarriage, which is why I'm worried.

Wishing you both lots of success with your pregnancies too!

I was also really worried, but my OB-GYN said it's pretty common because everything is so well-perfused right now.
But now that I've had a miscarriage myself, I realize I'm much more anxious, which is totally normal...

I really do understand. I also had bleeding twice, at 19 weeks and 23 weeks. The fear is quite intense at those moments. Take it easy and enjoy yourself!

    Thank you.
