Nipt or combined test

Ladies,

What's your reason for choosing the NIPT or combined test?

We definitely want to have one of them done, but which one? We're still a bit unsure. Do we go for the Yes/No approach if there's (no) increased risk, or do we go for the "1 in X" chance approach?

Had NIPT done. Because it's safer and the results are more reliable. If the NIPT shows something isn't right, they'll do more extensive testing and you'll naturally get more tests. So in my opinion, doing both isn't necessary if it's not needed.

If the combined test shows an increased risk, you get the chance to have the NIPT done.

I had the NIPT done. Also because of fewer risks and the price doesn't differ much.

I also did the NIPT test. For us, it turned out that the baby had trisomy. For example, with a 1 in 10 chance, there's a high probability the baby has something, but it doesn't have to be the case, so it doesn't give certainty. That's why you have to do the NIPT afterward, and then you're a few weeks further along. And believe me, waiting a few weeks in such a situation is incredibly tough.
