Hi!

On Friday, March 16th, I had an early external ultrasound. They could already see an embryo with a heartbeat of 160 beats per minute.

Well, my partner and I went back last Friday for the 9-week scan, but this time my uterus was completely empty... there was only some kind of membrane visible on the scan. The midwife said I had had a miscarriage, but that it was still inside my body... I didn't have any bleeding or pain. I'm still experiencing pregnancy hormone symptoms...

So, I have to go to the hospital next Friday for the abortion pill... I'm just really doubting whether an internal ultrasound might show something different... I've read a lot about this online.

Has anyone else had this experience?

Can you request an extra ultrasound at another center? I wouldn't be satisfied with that here.
I had an internal ultrasound at 10 weeks because nothing was visible for me either. Well, on the internal ultrasound, the baby was facing backward.

I wouldn't take that pill either before you've had another scan to see if there's really no baby in there! My sister did take it, there was no heartbeat, and they treated it like a miscarriage. In the end, she ended up with a beautiful girl. If your gut says you're still pregnant, I'd give it some time!
Wishing you lots of strength during this exciting time!
