Less than expected

I went through something similar, unfortunately with a bad outcome.

I had my first ultrasound at 8 weeks and 4 days. However, the baby was 3 weeks smaller. I was told to come back in two weeks because it was a 50/50 situation. But just like you said, I went back to calculate and realized the implantation must have happened while I had already tested positive. So that really wasn't possible, and I prepared myself for the worst so that anything less would just be a relief. Two days later, I started bleeding...

Strength, girl. I hope for a more positive outcome for you

Oh that's so tough MamaN! Thanks for your reply ? I also had a really bad feeling but since my values are rising now I'm completely confused.
I probably need to get my blood drawn every 48 hours but I don't know how long they'll keep doing that. They do have hope that things will turn out okay but I won't know more until Sunday.
This is really exhausting this way but well we have to stay positive and wait calmly.

Unfortunately, it's a wait-and-see situation regarding what your body does. Maybe it'll turn out to be nothing, or maybe they measured incorrectly. It's so tiny that a 1mm difference can mean weeks. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for your strength while you wait

Maybe it was measured wrong after all. My OB-GYN also put me at 6w3d, while I could have been max 5w3d (calculated back from the first day of sex after giving birth). So a millimeter off in measurement can indeed mean a week difference. Hope it turns out okay for you after all.

So today I had another blood test and went to the gynecologist, and unfortunately, it wasn't good. My levels had risen slightly, but not enough, which means I'm going to have a miscarriage.

I had kind of prepared myself for it because I really didn't feel well. Now it's a wait-and-see whether I'll miscarry naturally or if I'll come back to the gynecologist in two weeks to get medication for it.

The strange thing is that I didn't have any nausea at all, but now I'm experiencing it really badly. I guess that might be part of it? So just waiting to see. We've decided to take a long break from trying because this really takes a toll on you.

Oh, what such sad news For me, the miscarriage unfortunately also had a long aftermath due to a piece of tissue remaining. So I bled for over 4 weeks with clots. I got Cytotec pills after the doctor removed the last piece with forceps. Pay close attention to your body. Because of this, when I "finally" stopped bleeding, I could properly process it, especially since I was constantly confronted with it. Take your time. Eventually, you'll make space for it

And now, maybe you're not dealing with it yet, but a month later I was pregnant again, and that little one is already 7 months old.

    Strength, lots of love

Yes, I really do need to keep an eye on my body, especially given the ectopic pregnancy.
Oh, it's so nice to hear you have a healthy baby now! That time will come for us too, but we're taking a break for now. In December, after 22 weeks of pregnancy, we sadly had to say goodbye to our little boy. We really wanted to try again, but since this is happening to us now, we just can't handle it right away. That's why we've decided to wait a bit, but we're definitely not giving up hope!
Thanks for your kind replies xxx

Danielle feels really sad and upset for you guys I can totally imagine how you're feeling. I lost a baby at 18 weeks myself, and now I've also had an early miscarriage this round. There's still a little embryo in there, but I think it's probably not going to work out (hCG levels are under 2). Long story...

Your levels didn't rise as quickly, but does that 100% guarantee it's not going to work out? Didn't you get another ultrasound? Not everything always goes according to plan... but there are exceptions too, so who knows?? I certainly don't want to give you false hope, though.

    Love,

Hi BB, first of all, my condolences on your loss, and I'm so sorry you're going through this too ????, my levels rose too little, I had 3 blood tests this week and they didn't rise enough which according to the OB-GYN is a bad sign and there was no point in doing an internal ultrasound anymore. Your HCG should double every 48 hours and mine only went up by 200 each time. I don't know exactly how much it should have been but my level was around 1150 today and that was way too low. I've had 3 different OB-GYNs and the one today clearly made the decision that it wasn't viable. And on one hand I'm relieved because I wanted to know where I stood. And now I assume it's not going to be okay.
    Love
