Argument/stress

Hi to all the lovely pregnant mamas,
I'm pregnant for the first time and will be entering my second trimester by next Christmas. I'm incredibly happy and grateful for that, but here's the next part. My boyfriend and I basically have screaming, unbearable fights almost every day. After which I end up lying there crying for hours, going crazy from the stress and worries. He feels terrible about it too, of course. But I'm just worried about the little miracle in my belly. And I really don't know how to deal with this. We both want it to stop and promise each other every day that it will. But every day it happens again! I think we just snap out of our shoes really quickly precisely because we're both completely drained and exhausted. Does anyone else have this problem? Or does anyone have tips on how to stay calm and not stress during this already overwhelming period?

Love,

Why are you guys fighting? What are you fighting about? You really should stop... it's not good for your pregnancy, really not. And what if your baby is born? Should he/she be in the middle of it... between your shouting? It doesn't sound healthy. We also argue... that's just part of it... but every day? Talk calmly... and figure out where the problem lies and solve it together. Wishing you lots of success and congratulations on your pregnancy.

    Hi Stef,
Thanks for your reply. We always end up arguing because I get emotional and he gets frustrated. For example, I always think he’s mad at me when there’s actually nothing wrong. Or I get moody and he just can’t handle that... So it’s really about nothing, actually. I’m already quite emotional anyway, and now with the pregnancy, it’s multiplied by 10,000.. Yeah, indeed, we’re also worried about our relationship going forward. Before the pregnancy, we hardly ever argued.. Talking just doesn’t work during those times. Yesterday we talked a lot though. Now we hope things will stay good between us for a while. Thanks a lot xxx

And the baby, of course, we're worried about...

Then it's just your hormones it'll be fine... I'm already quite temperamental and now with my pregnancy I'm also being arrogant and cheeky hahaha but it'll be fine

Definitely hormones. Just tell your husband he needs to walk on eggshells for nine months, and then everything will calm down again.
