Very positive test but still no implantation

Mama van 5
Hello dears.
This is my 5th pregnancy. 2 full-term births and 2 miscarriages between the first and second pregnancy.
Last Tuesday I took a test and it turned positive within a few seconds.
On Friday I had an ultrasound because we didn't know how long I had already been pregnant.
According to the ultrasound, I am 5 weeks along.
Unfortunately, no gestational sac was visible yet, so we have to come back in a week and a half.
Now I'm really worried that it won't go well again. Are there more people who didn't have a gestational sac at 5 weeks? And is that still possible at that stage?
I'm really afraid of an ectopic pregnancy.
I know I can't do anything but wait for the next ultrasound. But I'm so nervous and stressed. I hope there are people here with a late implantation so I can turn my fear into hope.

Hey... what do you mean no implantation? At 5 weeks, there was just an empty gestational sac for me... at 6 weeks, a baby with a beating heart, and now I'm 14 weeks pregnant... what exactly did they see for you? Greetings and big congratulations!

He could only see that my uterus had made room for the gestational sac that (hopefully) is still on its way. There was no gestational sac or anything like that visible yet.

Hi mom of 5. You only get a positive test if you've had implantation. Then you're only producing hCG, right? I don't quite get what you mean either.

On the ultrasound, no implantation was visible, but the test (and again today) came back positive.

Could it be that the implantation happened outside the uterus?

Do you have complaints (pain)? Because an ectopic pregnancy is very painful... I think you had an ultrasound too early... How are you feeling overall? When can you go back? Don't you have an ultrasound clinic nearby where you can get an extra scan? It's enough to drive you crazy, right?

Special, never heard that this was possible either.
With 5 weeks an ultrasound often doesn't show much because they can't hear the little heart yet, but can they still see if the gestational sac is empty or full?

    Can't wait!

I also assumed that implantation would already be visible by then.
As far as I know, this happens even before you were supposed to get your period again.
5 weeks is indeed early, but we were unsure whether I was 5 or 9 weeks pregnant. Hence the ultrasound.
I have to go to the hospital on January 8th, but I've scheduled an appointment at the ultrasound department for Wednesday. It's hard to wait when you're uncertain...
Hope things will become clearer then.
I'm feeling pretty good now. Nausea comes and goes occasionally. Had a lot of cramps and pains over the past two weeks.

    Thanks for all the replies.
Had an ultrasound last night and we saw and heard the little heart
He was also worried it wouldn't implant properly, but to our great relief... Everything went well!
