Pregnant and alone

Marjan
Hi everyone,
I first thought I didn't need to talk to others about my pregnancy, but I've really come to realize that I need support. I have good parents who support me, but I still need support from women who know exactly what it feels like to be pregnant and alone.
I'll share a bit of my story, but I should mention it's not a happy one. I'm 25 years old and pregnant with my first baby, which I'm incredibly happy about, and my due date is early May. The father is not in the picture because he abused me, and I haven't told him yet. I lived in England where I had a relationship. After a while, I moved back because I didn't want to live like that anymore, and I found out I was pregnant after returning to the Netherlands.
Right now, I'm not sure what to do—whether to tell him or not. I don't want my baby to end up in that dangerous situation. I'm feeling conflicted about what's best for my child.
As I said, I'm truly super happy to be having a baby, and I'm also really excited. There are a few things I'm struggling with, like what to put on the birth announcement card. But I know I'll be the best mom for my child. My due date is early May, and I'm already looking forward to meeting my baby.
X Marjan

Hi Marjan, a tough period behind you, and on top of that all those hormones... I have so much respect for you!
I don't know what's best, whether to tell or not. I can imagine you want to keep him out of sight for now to feel safe, and especially when it comes to your child, I think even the softest woman turns into a bear
If you'd like, we have a forum from May 2018 for some friendly chatting. It's about anything—complaints, whether you know the gender or not, etc.!
Do you have family around you?
Wishing you a nice pregnancy despite the circumstances. P.S. that birth announcement card will really work out well. Nowadays there's no standard anymore, so it stands out much less if, say, only your name is on it!
