1st trimester
Bleeding at 5 weeks
LolaGuest ·
Hi everyone,
I’ve asked for your help... I got a positive pregnancy test last week, this is my 3rd pregnancy.
My cycle is a bit irregular, so I don’t know exactly how many weeks pregnant I am right now, but I think it’s about 5 weeks.
Last night, my partner and I had intercourse, and this morning I had some bleeding. It was just small clots and otherwise just red blood, so it was definitely not old blood. Two hours after the bleeding, I took a pregnancy test and it was only very faintly positive (but it’s possible there was some blood in the urine, so maybe the test didn’t work properly). After this morning’s bleeding, I’ve only had a little light spotting when urinating and wiping.
I called my gynecologist’s office. They told me it could possibly be a miscarriage, but for safety’s sake, I should get my blood drawn at the doctor’s. I have an appointment with the doctor next Thursday, but I’d really like to hear some experiences from you all.
Maybe useful to know: I do have some menstrual cramps, but nothing too severe, and I usually have that early in pregnancy anyway.
What do you think?
Thanks!!
Lola
