@Daydreamer: any news yet? I really hope so for you.
@marie: how are you doing?
I was supposed to get my period today but there's no sign of it yet. I took a test on Saturday and it was negative.
Secretly, I still have hope because I tested early with a regular test... yeah, I know, silly. But I feel exactly like I always do when my period is about to start... -

Hi Rosa,
Everything's okay here - I have to go to the hospital this afternoon for an ultrasound - follicle measurement - to plan the IUI & I'm getting a lesson on how to inject Pregnyl - exciting! Also, last Wednesday I had my HSG and everything went well - little pain, little bleeding or discomfort afterwards and above all a good result - I don't have any blockages or other adhesions that would prevent my fallopian tube or ovary from doing its job.
Positivity reigns here!! I really have high hopes for the upcoming round !!!! I'm bursting with positive energy!!

Whoops - I'm bouncing around so much that I'm sending too early
Indeed - I'm also curious about daydreamer - any news??
Rosa, your body can play tricks on you. Every month when I have a 'symptom' and google it, I come across stories that point to pregnancy and stories that point to menstruation. What I do read is that many women have the idea that they're getting their period and are still pregnant... in short, you can't draw any conclusions! Keep hope, dear Rosa - the round isn't over until you menstruate! -

Hi Marie,
That's good news; little pain and planning the dates!! I'm happy for you.
I don't mind the injections at all. I let my partner do them for me, I'm a bit of a wimp when it comes to that, haha
Thanks for your kind words; I need to start thinking more positively too... I had exactly the same as you, the first round is great, new and finally you know it's timed perfectly; I also assumed that I'd be done after this...
Is it true that the cycle is over when you get your period? Unfortunately, my experience has always been that if the test is negative, it really isn't. I'm getting emotionally ready for the next cycle again and assuming that it will only be successful on the 3rd IVF attempt. Everything before that will seem minor in comparison.
I don't really feel like IUI will help us anyway, but it's another process you have to go through...
Sorry, I think the depression is taking over now, hahaha. Hope it doesn't affect your positive bouncy mood.

Anyway, see you this afternoon

Hey Rosa, that's so sad to hear you're in such a down mood. I've decided to do all the things you're not supposed to do when pregnant after bad news (like sushi, carpaccio & alcohol), just to make it a bit 'fun' for myself. I could really use a drink now too: our first IUI was just cancelled.. unfortunately I have 5 mature eggs ready to go.. we're not hoping for a 5-lingo though, so we can't have sex
Despite that, I don't feel knocked out - I can't be negative about the fact that my body is just working incredibly hard to get pregnant. I've decided to be kind to myself and not put so much pressure on myself.. we've had to be patient for a long time already - every round is another step closer to that positive test!!! -

Aahhh, what a shame. My first round was also rejected because of this. But we didn't stick to the abstinence rule, hahaha. After 2 years without any eggs coming along, suddenly we got 5 eggs. We didn't believe it. What's nice is that you're probably getting fewer hormones now. I found that quite pleasant. Because those little hormones are quite present..???? -

Sorry Marie, hopefully a new egg will soon want to grow in your belly

Unfortunately, I got my period exactly 14 days after the IUI.. next week I'm going back to the hospital for an ultrasound to measure the eggs and the 2nd IUI.
Wishing you all lots of success, ladies! -

Sorry, I think the depressive mood is taking over now, hahaha. Hope I'm not affecting your positive, bouncy mood.

Anyway, good luck this afternoon
Hey Rosa, what's the reason for IUI in your case if I may ask? Greetings -

Yes Marie.. I was really frustrated too, I cried a lot too, but it's okay.. up and down, and we're going to the hospital tomorrow with good spirits.. hopefully there will be max 3 nice eggs ready again and a good uterine lining for IUI 2 -
