I'll cheer for you, Day! Was it difficult?

Nope, everything went well and I didn’t feel a thing at all. I had been looking around for experiences and came across quite a few horror stories from women who bled and had pain, etc., but luckily that wasn’t the case for me!

And thank you for rooting for us, of course. I forgot to mention that

I hope it hits for you!!! We're just starting the medical journey. But it's nice to hear a positive story. You often hear the horror stories indeed. Good luck with the waiting and hope for good news!

Daydreamer - let us know how you're doing? We're already 1.5 weeks further along - have you noticed any symptoms yet? How are you feeling?

That's so sweet of you to ask!
Unfortunately, I haven't had any symptoms that make me think I'm pregnant yet. My breasts are sore, but that's always the case before my period starts. Sometimes I get little twinges in my tummy, but otherwise, not much discomfort unfortunately. My test is on Friday and I really hope I don't get my period, but I don't dare to hope too much since it was my first IUI. We'll just see what happens. I'm quite nervous though, haha.

I hope for you that it's a hit!!! We just started with the medical process. But happy to hear a positive story too. You often hear the horror stories indeed.
Good luck with waiting and hoping for good news!

Super exciting all Petra! I also hope for you/you guys that it's a hit very soon and I'll let you know if I have news

We're crossing our fingers for daydreamer!!

Day, what an exciting one! Are you waiting until Friday to test? And are you testing alone, or with ML?

Oh, how exciting Daydreamer - and of course I'm asking about it... we're all rooting for you!
I've just started taking Clomid for our first IUI. Tomorrow there's an HSG first, then an ultrasound will follow soon, a lesson on how to inject Pregnyl, and then the IUI appointment. I find it all so nerve-wracking!! I hope you have good luck and just don't have too many side effects
We're cheering for you! Keep us posted!

What a thrilling day! Are you waiting to test until Friday? And are you testing alone, or with ML?
    Merel

I'm waiting to test. If I haven't gotten my period by Friday, I'll do a test on Saturday or Sunday with my fiancé.

Lots of success! HSG wasn't very nice for me either but that was also because one fallopian tube was blocked and they had to increase the pressure, hoping it would open but unfortunately that didn't work, but the Pregnyl injections are really a piece of cake, you don't feel anything at all

Oh, that does sound less pleasant. They didn't find anything weird on my ultrasound, so I'm hopeful, but I'm not expecting anything other than pain and me not being so happy in the afternoons. We'll see! I just noticed a big clump (sorry for the details) of brown discharge no idea, but I don't think that's really supposed to happen with an HSG. Maybe I should call the clinic later. Pff....

    Hi everyone,
Daydreamer; that's lovely! We're about on the same track. As for Monday, that's my 'D-Day'.
I've also just had my first IUI behind me after the first round was canceled because I had 5 eggs. We've been trying for 2 years now and there's no explanation why it hasn't worked out yet.
The treatment wasn't too bad for me either. I just found the discomforts from the hormones I had to take for 5 days more intense. (feeling warm, then cold again/night sweats/intense dreams/acne etc.)
This coming weekend I'll know if it was successful and of course now I'm busy looking for symptoms and constantly trying to temper expectations. Sigh.

Exciting, Rosa! We're cheering you on!! We haven't had a pregnancy yet after 2.5 years without a clear reason.. IUI is coming up, still needs to be scheduled.. We're in the same boat. Exciting times ahead!

I've had an HSG twice (once under anesthesia during a laparoscopy) and I only had blue fluid that I lost, so I really don't know, girl. Maybe just call then.

Yeah, those hormones are really terrible.. I sleep poorly, indeed a lot of sweating and hot/cold flashes, and a lot of nightmares pff.. I was/am also busy looking for symptoms but unfortunately can't find anything, I assume I can start taking Clomid again on Sunday. Wishing you all lots of success and I hope you'll have a nice positive test in your hands on Monday!

Fortunately! I hope to read soon that you're pregnant.
