Question about the dating scan

Hi,
I'm new here and I want to start off with a question right away
I went for the dating scan yesterday.
According to that lady, I'll be 10 weeks pregnant tomorrow, based on my last period.
But if I count back, I wasn't on my period 10 weeks ago, but almost 11 weeks ago.
I have a cycle of 31-34 days on average, and I've been off the pill for a long time so that fits.
Does that cause a difference of about 5 days, meaning I don't count from my last period date but 5 days later?
I don't really understand it.
And don't they also include those 2 'extra' weeks when calculating from the dating scan?inch:
