Pain in the side

Laura
Hi everyone!
I’ve known for a few days that I’m pregnant with my second baby, and I’m now about 5 weeks along. This morning at work, while making coffee, I suddenly got a sharp stab in my right side, right around the rib area. Since then, I’ve had this annoying pain that sometimes shoots across my back or into my arm.
Does anyone have an idea what this could be? I was thinking of calling my midwife first, but I don’t want to come across as too panicked.

Maybe round ligament pain? Especially since it's your second, it can happen much earlier. A lot is going on in there, little one needs to grow Congratulations!

    Thank you
Yes, are your tires so high? hihi with the first one I hardly had any issues.

Well, it can definitely go either way. I actually spent a day in the hospital panic panic but nothing was found, final conclusion was round ligament pain
I'm now also almost 5 weeks pregnant with my second. Feeling all sorts of things... still scary! Hoping for us that everything goes well Enjoy and try to relax!

    Hi,
Does that pain also radiate to your shoulder?
It started like that for me too when I had a baby. No pain in my belly at all.
    Pain in my
    side
    arm
    shoulder
    and lower back
The pain got more and more intense.
    Constantly noticeable.
Don’t want to scare you, but I think it’s important to know.
This is my experience with this kind of pain.
It could be anything, of course.
    Big hug

No, not really my shoulder, but the pain in my back got worse. Not in my lower back, but just under my shoulder blades, so to speak.
Was the pain on your side lower down or near your ribs?
Niveamam, geez, I didn't know ligament pain could hurt so much. Congratulations to you too, and it's indeed scary.

    Hey,
It was by my ribs... but my arm and shoulder hurt too.
And everything was on the left side, and it was also in my left fallopian tube.
But I really hope from the bottom of my heart that it's not like that for you.
    Love,

But I don't think so, not the way you describe it
Maybe you caught a chill in your back?
    Greetings

I think my whole body is all messed up. The pain in my upper side is luckily a lot less. But then my leg hurts again, then a sharp pain in my groin. Then cramps in my belly again, pff haha.
Well, anyway, if everything is okay, I'm happy to put up with it all.
Can't wait for the first ultrasound.

I also had a lot of pain in my side during those first weeks. It radiated to my legs, belly, and sometimes the other side. It turned out to be a urinary tract infection. The midwife immediately sent me to the doctor with that complaint. Fortunately, the UTI was quickly resolved and didn't develop into a kidney infection.

    Hey Laura,
    How are you doing?
    Greetings.

    Hi there!
Yes, the pain is completely gone, but I started having pain when urinating and noticed blood in my urine, so I have a bladder infection. I’m currently on a course of antibiotics.
Unfortunately, since today I’ve been losing a small amount of clear red blood, which makes things quite stressful again.

    Hey hey,
    Yeah, indeed... it's nerve-wracking, right
    All my symptoms have disappeared.
Now I'm just waiting until Tuesday, then I'll have another ultrasound
When do you have your ultrasound?
    Greetings

Yeah, I hope everything's okay, but I don't have a good feeling about it.
I have my ultrasound on Wednesday. The first one. I hope everything turns out fine.
Glad that everything's gone for you!!

I read so much that some ladies lose a bit of blood in the beginning. Doesn't necessarily mean something bad. ... join the June moms
    I'll see you there
