Headaches and heart palpitations

Hi,
I've been having recurring headaches and fatigue for a few days, and at night in bed I get light palpitations that make me breathe strangely. Yesterday I went to read and it got better. I drink lots of water and move around a lot, but I wonder why I keep getting headaches. I've always felt so fit that it feels weird to me that things are a bit worse now... I'm 26 weeks pregnant with my second child. I'd love to hear what you all think. Greetings, Sophie

Did they check your blood pressure at the midwife's?

With the first pregnancy, I never had any issues. With the second and now the third, I’ve had a lot of trouble with headaches and palpitations. With the second, I also had a lot of nosebleeds.

From what I understand, the headaches and palpitations are related to the production of extra blood. Your heart has to work a bit harder because of this.

The nosebleeds are due to a substance during pregnancy that makes the blood vessels thinner.

The headaches and palpitations should gradually decrease on their own. Keep an eye on the palpitations though, as they could also indicate a lack of B12 or something else. But don’t worry too much; it’s probably nothing serious.

I think you might be dealing with tension headaches. They're usually pressing or tight, often on both sides, without nausea or vomiting. The pain is mild to moderate and can last from minutes to days. It doesn't get worse with physical activity. There's usually no sensitivity to light or sound. This can be really exhausting, making you feel tired but unable to sleep. Maybe these tips will help: https://onlineapotheek.co/slapeloosheid-tips/. Hang in there !
