Yay! And sniff... at the same time.
Because Yay! tomorrow the 2nd trimester is over and I start the last part of the pregnancy and we're one step closer to the birth of our girl.

But on the other hand, sniff... because this was physically the best trimester and the ailments are slowly coming back. Apart from that: it's all going so fast!

But the third trimester is lovely too, it just takes veeeeeeeeeeery long :-)

Yeah, I still remember how the last 4 weeks felt like an eternity with my two oldest. And I was lucky enough to give birth both times at 38 weeks! Imagine giving birth at 42 weeks... I think I would have gone crazy from impatience :-)

Hi Gerda, I'm also in the third trimester now. When is your due date? I have to say that I'm actually feeling better now than during the last 4 weeks of the second trimester. Weird, right!!!!

    Love, Kim

I just quickly checked your profile and see that we have the exact same due date! How nice, a girl!!!!

Hi, so I’m part of this too!! Woohoo!!

But I’m having a bit of trouble with it. Not with the discomforts, although I’m also finding it a bit hard to get up from the couch sometimes, with some ligament pain, and I’m getting out of breath quicker (the little one is starting to weigh in!!)
But I find that belly so lovely!!
I really need another 3 months to get used to the idea that I won’t be “pregnant” anymore soon.

No Ju, so relatable! And I'm also slowly starting to get that nesting instinct—everything has to be ready ASAP and as well as possible!!!!!!

I'm still debating whether I want a bassinet in my room, but I haven't decided yet!

Also here, lots of questions like "how am I going to manage when the little one is here and needs daycare while I have to work?" pfff

    Love, Kim

    @Kimjoy,
Glad I had something weird going on hahaha..
No, but the insecurity is pretty annoying, that's how I'd describe it.

@kim joy: Really? Hahaha, that’s so nice!
My belly is really starting to show now, and for the first time in my life, I’ve got heartburn. Never had it before! And occasionally I get calf cramps.
By the way, sleeping is going well again. Honestly, I feel pretty good overall, but everything just feels a bit heavier.

@Olivia-Anna: nice to see you again. Have you read the other replies too? Glad everything's back to normal for you guys.

Hi everyone, enjoy your 3rd trimester!
Hopefully not too much discomfort For me, just one more push and then I'll be in the 3rd trimester too.

    Love, Tammi

    Yeah, I'm nesting here too.
Don't want to go outside at all!!!
Just tidying up the room, knitting socks and hats, making birth announcements..

I keep running in and out of that room..
Making sure everything is still there hahaha!!!

And I'm getting the same "aches" as the first 3 months:
Peeling!!Peeling!Peeling!! Eating sour stuff and wiggling..

@ Tammi, hang in there a bit longer, you'll be there faster than you think!!

Well, I went in for a check-up yesterday and had another ultrasound. I already had a feeling that Vera had grown quite a bit (those contractions aren't just for nothing after all ), and that turned out to be true. At the 20-week scan, they said she had relatively short legs (just like her mom :ermm and the midwife said 6 weeks ago that she had a small head (also just like her mom :ermm, but yesterday it turned out she really did her best to get legs as long as her big sister's, and her head is now exactly "average." The measurements of her belly, head, and legs matched exactly the values for a 38-week and 4-day pregnancy; her weight is probably around 1,270 grams now.

Beautiful ultrasound, unfortunately, the photos aren't as clear as what I saw on the monitor . She was lying on her back with her face forward, and I could clearly make out everything: mouth, nose, eyes. Later she yawned, so cute!
In short: everything's fine! (new photo is on my profile).

    Hi,
Glad to hear everything is going well for you girls!
Here everything is fairly under control. Tomorrow the maid's room will be ready, and on Sunday my husband and father-in-law will put everything together, and then I'll decorate and arrange it all. Over the weekend I bought a really nice simple changing mat, so that's already ready!
Besides that, on Wednesday I'm going to the doctor's office and the hospital to get my sugar levels checked. I already know they're way too high. I tested with one of those home kits over the weekend, and wow, way too high! I can feel it in my body too—I'm extremely thirsty and so tired! But well, only about eleven more weeks until the little one arrives! On September 28th I'm going back to the gynecologist, and then we'll get a detailed growth ultrasound!!!!!!
Anyway, I'll go back to reading now!

I can finally move on to the third trimester now but my feelings are all over the place these days, even though we're at the end.
