Work and pregnant

Hi everyone,

I'm starting to hit a wall with something and I'm not really sure what to do. I'm currently almost 20 weeks pregnant. My employer found out pretty early on. However, lately I've been feeling more and more worn out and sometimes get dizzy at work.

I work full-time and have a commute of 3 to 4 hours a day (I'm deployed to different locations via an agency, working front office). I haven't reached the point of calling in sick yet, but I'm starting to feel like I'm on the verge of it. My colleagues who see me say I look bad, even though I'm still doing the work well.

The "problem" is that I'm in front office and basically treat my commute times as breaks, so I can't really get some rest in between (and no one can cover the spot for 10 minutes, since there's only one front office worker deployed everywhere at a time). Colleagues have been wondering why I'm not going to work half-days soon. I've been considering it, since I'm feeling more and more sluggish, but on the other hand, who knows, maybe I'll feel better again soon.

Also: I eat enough, I sleep enough. This summer I can't schedule any time off due to staffing issues, in September I can get 4 days off, but that's it... and I've had max 1 week off since October last year...

My short question for my long story is: what is your advice?

Lots of love

Addition: my job is receptionist, so for example, making arrangements with the employer or if I can leave earlier or start later at a location won't work, because we have to open and close.

I thought that after you’ve reported it, your employer should assign you a workable role. Can’t you still do work nearby? Or have them swap you with another seconded employee? Is it possible to discuss solutions with your boss?

I’m 14 weeks pregnant at my job, and the staffing agency has been quite considerate about finding solutions from the start if I don’t feel well. Now, for the first time, they have a pregnant employee, I think. Haha. T works in the technical field.
