Hi ladies, I'm almost 5 weeks pregnant and have had some bleeding for the past 2 days. It's dark red, not all day long but in the morning and in the evening during dinner. In between, there's hardly any, just a little bit of a different color when wiping. I had to give a urine sample yesterday, and it came back positive for a bladder infection. But I'm worried because is this bleeding normal? I find it so annoying because the midwife told me to just wait and see... Does anyone else have this?

That must be such a stressful situation for you.
For me, things went wrong at five weeks. It started with brown discharge when wiping. And the next day it turned pink, then red, with clots. I had a miscarriage.
It can happen that bleeding is due to a bladder infection. Usually, that's when the infection has been there for a while and you've been pushing through it.
Bleeding can also occur because of a small wound. Anything is possible. Time will tell.
I'm really rooting for you! Do you have a midwife? If not, you can always call one.
Also keep an eye on your temperature, and if it rises, definitely call.
