Hi ladies,

I'm 7 weeks and 5 days pregnant today. I just noticed some pink/brown discharge in my underwear. I've been reading online about everything from a threatened miscarriage to this:

7 and 8 weeks pregnant
Further along in pregnancy, around two months, light bleeding can occur when sneezing, coughing, bending over, or lifting. Often, this is no cause for concern. Bleeding can also occur for unclear reasons. In half of the cases, it stays as pink discharge; in the other half, the bleeding increases and turns bright red. If the bleeding persists and is accompanied by abdominal cramps, the chance of a miscarriage is higher. The midwife can check if the baby's heartbeat is present from 6 weeks of pregnancy onwards.

What do you think/has anyone experienced this?
I've been doing a lot of lifting and bending at work... but I'm so worried!

Please share your thoughts!

Proud mommy, it can indeed go either way. Unfortunately, you also read a lot of bad stories here on the forum.
But this is now my 3rd pregnancy and I lost a lot of blood in the first weeks of all 3, and yet everything is going well. 2 healthy boys and the 3rd on the way.
Lifting heavy things is indeed not good, and if you have a sensitive uterus, a blood vessel can easily burst, causing bleeding.
I would take it easy for the next few days, but if you're really worried, you can call your midwife about this. Often they'll do an ultrasound at this stage.

Thanks for your reply! I hope this is a sign to take it easy!

We have the ultrasound on Monday... hopefully it doesn't mean anything serious

Did you have any further bleeding? It's already been a month. That's so intense that you're only getting an ultrasound on Monday and have had to deal with so much uncertainty!
