16 weeks, pressure feeling in the lower abdomen

Hi!
For almost a week now, I've been feeling a vague, pressing sensation in my lower abdomen, just above my bladder. Sometimes it feels like the baby is really low, which might be causing that feeling, but after having it all day, I'm wondering what it actually is.
I don't think it's round ligament pain. Since the beginning of week 15, I've already been feeling the baby, and I mostly feel her when that pressing sensation gets heavier.
Maybe it's just gas? No idea!
Hope someone else knows more about this :-).
Love!

I don't think there's anything else other than your ligaments being so sensitive.

    Sounds annoying.
But round ligament pain feels different, you know!
It feels like you've strained a muscle on the side of your lower abdomen, like a sharp stab, and it doesn't last all day.
And you mostly feel it when you stand up or step out of bed.

I had it too, but that was really the baby pushing herself down.
And I mostly felt it when I was wearing a belt, had tight pants on, or when the seatbelt pressed.
After a few weeks, I managed to get her to stop by gently tapping (higher up) on my belly, which is still really handy!
You can also gently push her up a bit, you know..

That side pain is indeed just like a strained muscle on the side of your belly! That's why I thought this had to be something else. Thanks for your tip :-) I happen to have an appointment with the midwife next week too, so I'll ask her about it as well.

    Hi,
I'm almost 18 weeks pregnant myself and have been feeling that pressure above my pubic bone (lower abdomen) for a week now, pulling towards my groin.
Could it be my intestines, maybe a UTI, or round ligament pain? It sometimes goes away and then suddenly comes back, pulling towards my lower back. If I still have it tomorrow, I'll quickly see the doctor to get my urine checked.
I'll also mention it to my OB-GYN when I go back at the end of the month.

    xxxxx

Hi... I was just randomly browsing here and there... I'm 16 weeks pregnant with our 3rd baby this coming Saturday..
your story reminds me of the first 'hard contractions'. the short tightening of your uterus... if you lie on your back.. do you also feel an 'egg'.. rock hard? not too bad; training for your birth in 24 weeks
I've been having it again since last week... a pressing pain.. well, not really pain.. like constipation on your bladder, hmm hard to explain..
good luck and maybe I could 'help' you
    greetings Jo

Hi Marita, I see it's been quite a while since you posted this... but right now I'm experiencing exactly the same thing as you wrote here.. I'm 17 weeks pregnant on Wednesday.. may I ask how it went for you?? Greetings, Eline

Hi everyone, I'm also expecting my first baby and I'm 14 weeks along. Since today I've been feeling pressure in my lower abdomen, like I have a full bladder but without the urge to pee... I don't know if that's normal, does anyone happen to know?

Hi everyone. I'm 16 weeks pregnant too and have been feeling this pressure all day. I don't think it's round ligament pain. Could it be gas in my intestines? Or is the baby pressing on my uterus? Luckily, I'm seeing the midwife in two days.

You could also get tested for a UTI, it seems to feel different when you're pregnant.

Hi! I'm pregnant with my 4th, there's a big gap between them (16, 15 years and 9 years). I'm now 16 weeks, still working, etc. I've been having hard contractions and a pressing feeling downwards. Is this normal? I've never had this before, and I have pain in my calves, not cramps, actual pain.

I'm also 16 weeks and 4 days pregnant and I'm feeling a pressure in my lower belly that radiates to my groin. No idea what it is.

I'm 18 weeks pregnant and I'm feeling pressure in my right side. I don't know what it is. Luckily, I have an appointment with the OB-GYN in 10 days, so I can ask her what it might be. Does anyone know what it could mean??

Hi, does anyone else have stomach pain? I'm 16 weeks pregnant.
