Constipation

AnonymousGuest ·
Drink plenty of water, at least 2 liters, and preferably a bit more in hot countries. Eat lots of fiber; this stimulates the bowels. Prunes often have a laxative effect too. Take your time on the toilet and try not to strain too hard.
Ring your GP again on time if it still doesn't work out, for medication.

Clear tips. I also had trouble with constipation during my pregnancy. The water and fiber really helped, but prunes didn't work for me. I had to get used to the new routine. If it doesn't get better, just contact your midwife or GP for advice.
