Nurse at the hospital and pregnant

Hi everyone.
I've been working as a nurse in the hospital for a few months now. I often pick up patients from, for example, the CT scan or X-ray department. Sometimes I wait during the examination in a special room (lead-lined) until the patients are done. The staff from medical imaging always goes straight into the room after taking the scan or photo. I usually go in with them and then take the patient back to the ward. I'm starting to worry that some radiation might still be present in the room right after the CT scan is done. Does anyone know anything about this? I'm currently 8 weeks pregnant. Would love to hear your thoughts!

Better that you let someone else handle those patients, the radiation can be harmful to the fetus. I stopped going to CT/RX/isolation rooms as soon as I knew I was pregnant. Also inform your colleagues so they can take it into account.
