How did you know you were pregnant?

I'm feeling quite unsure..
I have a strong feeling that I'm pregnant because of the pains I'm experiencing. Period-like feeling / muscle pain.

It's still too early to test. I should get my period on May 11th..

It was an accident and this is the first time I've experienced this pain. I thought I was about to get my period.
I did an ovulation test with a friend just for fun and there was a smiley face on it. But you don't get pregnant right away after having sex once, right?

    It's all still very early for me, but I knew I was pregnant pretty quickly. Sore breasts, heightened sense of smell. During my ovulation time, I felt warmer than usual.
    Do you know roughly when your ovulation was? Did you notice anything? I certainly did. You can also download an app to roughly calculate your biological clock. I found the MBK by Predictor really good. It matched up quite well with my period and ovulation. I stopped the pill in January myself but didn't obsess over it. In April, it happened!

    My ovulation was on April 25th. I took a Clearblue test and it showed a smiley. We had sex that same day. That was Tuesday.

    Since Friday, I've been experiencing period-like cramps/muscle pain. I also had a lot of white discharge. I can smell things more strongly now, and OMG my head is covered with a ton of pimples. Usually, I only get one pimple before my period starts.

    Hey,

    Stress can often delay your actual period. It might be a bold assumption, but could it be an illness you picked up? Sometimes you do get symptoms like white discharge and cramps. Although I have the feeling you might be pregnant, maybe you've picked up something else as well. To be sure, you'll still need to wait until May 7th or 8th to test. It depends on which test you plan to buy. I always kept a small stock of sensitive tests at home (which, by the way, don't cost much). But also 1 digital test from Clearblue.

    The above is my view on your situation. It's not an accusation, and I'm just thinking along with you.

    My boyfriend is in the hospital and I'm so emotional.. I really don't get it at all. I miss him but I'm usually a tough cookie as most people describe me pff.

    I'm keeping an eye on my period. If I'm not overdue I'll call the GP. I know my body pretty well and usually know myself when I need to consult the GP. But thanks for the tip.
