Quick question?

Hi ladies, I have a question. I stopped the pill almost a year ago and have always had irregular periods. Recently, I had really sharp stabbing pains on the lower right side of my belly. I went to the doctor, and she said that I had ovulated that day. So, I went to have sex with my boyfriend that same day. Now it's been almost 2 weeks since then, and I haven't gotten my period yet. I feel very nauseous, have stomach cramps, headaches, a lot of white discharge, and the smell of certain foods makes me want to vomit. My question is: when can I start testing?

4 days before your period... I actually tested a week before and this was positive, unfortunately bad news for me. Miscarriage...

That's the problem too, my period is irregular so I don't know when I'll get my period again.

It's been 9 days past my ovulation. I thought, you know, just try testing, so I tested the day before yesterday and it was negative. So my question was also: when can I test for sure?

Normally you can definitely test 2 weeks after ovulation. I already tested positive 10 days after. Good luck!

Thanks for the reply! Skullie, does it really matter that much? Which test do you have now? I got one from Action, an early pregnancy test.

I don’t have experience with those tests. The ones from Action are probably fine too. Definitely use first morning urine if you’re testing early. I tested positive early with the Kruidvat ones, 2 for €5.

Okay, tomorrow is day 10 after my ovulation. When do you recommend I test? I'm afraid if I test too early again, it'll just show negative.

If you test at 10 dpo, of course the chance is higher that you'll get a negative result. If you can wait until 14 dpo. But I couldn't wait either.

Okay, I have one early pregnancy test. I'll take it tomorrow morning. If it's negative again, can I use a regular pregnancy test after day 14?
  10. skullie #11

Yeah, those cheap ones from Kruidvat do their job well too and aren't expensive. I'm rooting for you!

Thank you! I'll try first thing tomorrow morning ????

    Let us know!

Did the test this morning and unfortunately it was negative again. What now?
  14. skullie #15

Wait a couple of days and if you still aren't pregnant, test again. Not everyone tests positive right away. It depends on when implantation happens and stuff. It could also be that you're not pregnant. I hope for you, of course.

Hey, I'm on day 13 now and I noticed I had a bit of pink discharge this afternoon, and I'm (hoping) it was implantation bleeding. When's the best time to test again?
  16. skullie #17

I think they say that after implantation, you can test from 3-4 days later.

Okay, but is it normal that it comes so late (13 days)? I read online that it's 5-10 days and that it's old blood, and for me, it's light pink discharge in the afternoon and nothing in the evening.
